If I have the money, and provided science makes some medical breakthroughs with in the next 60 years, do you think I can clone my self, raise the clone till it's like 18, do a brain transplant, and put my brain, in the 18 year old(mindless) clone body, and keep doing so till the end of time, or at least till my brain reaches the max capacity of information. If it's not possible to do it forever, than maybe one or few extra life times. Because I don't want to die. What do you think? And please don't bring stuff like the afterlife, or anything like that.

Obviously no one knows for sure, since it hasn't been done. But it's very unlikely, since many of the aging mechanisms are genetic, so a genetic clone of a 60-year-old will also be genetically 60 years old.

There is some longevity research going on now that is extremely promising. It shows a lot of potential for extending the healthy lifespan, not just the lifespan. Meanwhile, make the lifestyle choices already well established to maximize healthy lifespan.

Medical breakthroughs strong enough to transplant a brain will not be available for > 100 years.

Even so, you would do better putting your $ into finding a way to genetically alter your cells so that they don't lose tellomeres(sp?)

The process of slowing or halting aging is far closer than being able to re-attach a brain.

However, I did hear that a head transplant was once done on monkeys and it survived for about 10 more seconds... but it could have been that the monkey was hanging upside down before they chopped it up...

sweet idea your original but i doubt brain transplants would work but still it's a tough you can live forever by cloning yourself but each clone will have separate thinking and other experiences and everyone is bound die some time dude deal with many have searched for immortality none have found it
