The Allman Brothers Band. They have such a good sense of harmony, and Duane Allman was the greatest guitar player that ever lived. He could follow anyone's lead and harmonize with everyone. They were one of the best bands in the world in my opinion.

Botch is my favorite band. Grab an album called "We are the Romans".
It's intelligent, emotive, creative, and runs the gamut between extremely heavy and very soft.

the Beatles.
i don't think an explanation is needed but...
music nowadays is making screaming at the top of your lungs a talent. I suppose it is a talent--but it isn't something that's enjoyable. I personally wouldn't consider it music!

I liked Cocteau Twins. One beautiful female voice and two tech geeks weaving synth sound walls. What's not to love?

The Rolling Stones. Mostly because of nostalgia, their music is still good (new and old) and they keep rockin.
