"Republicrats" all swim in the same cesspool. They don't give a tinker's damn about the rights of citizens; our environment; or the millions of Americans who are elderly, poor, sick, disadvantaged, underprivileged, disabled, under-educated, unemployed, homeless or hungry.
You're probably referring to Senate Bill S.1959 which will, indeed, grant government more power over our rights, our freedoms, our speech and our thoughts. If you even say something that the government considers to be 'terrorist' in nature, you might go to jail, be tortured or even executed.
"Republicrats" senators who are scared of their own shadow, paranoid and fully aware of the international bully this nation has become, will see this as a means of giving the government more control while they 'sell' it to the public as more 'security' and 'protection'. And, of course, millions of our citizens will buy into it!
Adolph Hitler once said: "How fortunate for governments that the people the administer don't think."

Actually, in spite of the way the government has curtailed the rights of US citizens, Americans have a lot more rights and freedom than most other people in the world. Try selling genetically altered food in Europe - they'll put you in jail.
Try driving an old wreck of a car in Japan - They'll take it away from you. Try promoting gay rights in a Muslim Country, without an armed escort. Try teaching certain parts of the Bible in Canada. You will be in trouble with the law.
Try setting up a liquor store in Mecca. In fact try going to Mecca if you're not a Muslim. Just try it and see what happens.

Because they're all too fearful of being labelled "Soft on Terrorism".
In reality, the odds of being killed or injured by a terrorist attack are really small, and not worth giving up our rights over.
Oddly, however, some of the most outspoken proponents of giving up rights for security are the most macho guys who one would think are not (or should not) be so damned frightened.

Because it's far more popular these days to harp on about terror. If you imply that you actually want to give some privacy rights to US citizens, then you must be weak on terror, and you probably are friends with bin Laden.

I think they're call the "POLITICALLY CORRECT" police run by the liberals and their organ, the democrat party. Watch out cause they use the courts to push their inane (and minority) agenda on the majority of the public. Be afraid little ones...be VERY afraid.
