Yes. Friend or total stranger. I'd want them to do the same for me.

Yes, because I would hope that someone would tell me. Being from Pittsburgh, we have a special saying for just this occasion. Kennywood Park is an amusement park that has been a Pittsburgh tradition for about a century.....so if someone from Pittsburgh tells you "Kennywood's Open," it's time to check your fly.

Unrelated (but funny) thought. Back in the 70's, James "Fly" Williams was a star basketball player and All-American at Austin Peay (pronounced "pea") University. A popular cheer for the student section went "The Fly is open, Let's Go Peay." lol

Depends on my hyperactive state at the moment. If I'm relatively happy feeling, I'd bound right up to them and claim that their zipper is down. If I'm not in the mood, I'll just think "Aw their zippers down."
Gotta remember that no one actually cares that your zipper is down. The only people who care is yourself, because you get embarassed about it even though no one is going to be like "WHAT A TERRIBLE PERSON TO HAVE A ZIPPER PARTLY UNZIPPED!?!?! TERRIBLE!!!"

What kind of person would I be if I did not tell them and let them go on only to realize it after they got home?

How many people noticed it?
How long has it been down?

Depends on their age. If they're over 20 yes I'd tell them quite directly, but if they're under that, then they're more likely to get embarrassed, so I'd find a more subtle way to let them know
