My girlfriend is Black, and I'm Latino. We've known each other since we were kids. We were childhood sweethearts, and she was my first gf. Then, our families moved (together). In the new place we live at, people are think I'm weird for dating someone Black, because I'm Latino! Does that have something to do with the gang thing? Latinos don't hangout with blacks? The Blood, Cryps, and the ESL, or something? Is that about it? 'Cause we live in the LA area. But we're not associate with any of them.

That's exactly what it is in LA. My husband did some research on the gang violence there and it looks like it's pretty much Latino against black. There are some areas where people are shot (gang-affiliated or not) just for being of a certain ethnicity. It makes no sense at all.

yea it most likely because of the sterotypes in the latino and black community but also a lot of people in Latin America(i from venezuela) are racist and prejudice. for example my extended family is venezuelan,argentinia,colombian,spanish and if i brought home a black girlfreind ,most likey i will get wierd look , sad but true

It makes sense.
But don't worry about those ignorant people. There really is no such thing as race. The only race there is is the human race and you are free to do what you want with any woman within the human race. Regardless of what family she happened to be born into. How she just happened to be born looking like. What colour her skin,hair,eyes is.
Its all about how you feel.
