I totally agree with you on 'Wild Hogs'! He SAVED that movie!!! After I saw it, I asked myself this same question! He is so cool...lol

He has had so many great performances.
I completely agree with others saying that he was great in:
Pleasantville, The Cooler, Happy, Texas, and Fargo. I would also like to add Boogie Nights and State and Main.
But his best performance had to be from Magnolia. His character was so downtrodden and sorrowful, and Macy captured that amazingly. With Fargo and The Cooler as close runners-up.

My two favorites are 'Panic' and 'Pleasantville'. Two very different characters, both really well done.
