I mean African American is a popular term but they sure don't want to go to Africa. Oprah set up a school there but she won't live there. If they feel so close to the mother land go visit then you'd appreciate what you have here.

Of course people don't want to live in certain parts of africa now. But I sincerely believe if their was no slavery(not just blacks, arabs and whatnot) whatsoever, Africa would not be in this state right, their would probably be corruption, but it wouldn't be as bad as is right now. So right now I'm glad I live in the US..but remember its not just africa, its around the world...countries in Asia and even Europe don't have it as good as Americans do in the USA. This really is the best place to live.

The thing you have to remember about the internet, is the "people" are usually children. I've never heard a mature adult say anything of the sort... this sounds like something a dumb 13 year old kid would say thinking they were being funny, or maybe just wanting attention and going about it the wrong way. I'm a white person, and I've never heard anyone say anything like that.

Yes.And notice the evasion of the question as usual.Too much Marxist brainwashing has caused that hate Whites attitude. Many Whites died to end slavery. But all that is mentioned is the oppression of Blacks by bad bad Whites. If communism were so good the 1960's Marxist leaders would've taken everyone to Russia.Fact is that the USA is great and we all know it.

What about the Caucasians, Asians, Latinos, etc?... Maybe everybody should just go back to where their ancestors came from and then they'd appreciate what we ALL have here in the USA...

All of us are something-Americans. Even native americans came over from Asia. Humans are not indigenous to this continent. So, if ethnic groups want to identify themselves with their roots, so what? It's a free country, ain't it? If you don't like it the way it is, you can go back to whatever your particular root country is.

If color or race is the basis of your question it falls short of decency.
Yet I shall answer you.
Yes!
Here is why.
I myself is just grateful to simply be living under all conditions given.
In any place and space granted!

What the He11 are you talking about??

Just because someone doesn't want to be called 'black' (as they are not black but range from a light coco color to a deep brown) doesn't mean that African American's want to live in Africa. Irish and German Americans also do not wish to return to their homeland.....but they are not often called 'whitey' by other members of society. People will call themselves what they wish.....they are american by choice and, often, by birth, and, just as your ancestors came from elsewhere, they have a rich history that spans continents...please don't hold it against them for wishing to be called something that references their history instead of their skin color....

I have friends that don't want to be called that because they say they are not African, they prefer black. I don't believe in being politically correct.

I was born in America. Why should I be grateful or ashamed about that? It's not like I had a choice in the matter.
