There are websites which act as proxy sites which you can use to get past a school firewall. You can do a google search to find out more. But I'm not going to recommend you do so for the following reasons:
Firstly, you're breaking the computer usage agreement you used with the school and could get into trouble if they found out. Often, this means that you would be blocked from all internet for a while.
Secondly, any information you put into proxy sites go through their site - they could possibly 'listen' in, so to speak. It's not secure, and you might end up with them knowing your username and password. Not good!
The best way to get files to and from school is to buy a USB memory stick. They're very cheap now days (you can find them at technical/computer stores or Officeworks) and you'll find them a useful way of moving documents around.

You can get to it through a proxy. Proxies let you reroute your traffic to a third party without going there directly. This assumes, of course, that you can get to some proxy that isn't also blocked by your network administrators. Do a search for free proxy and you should get quite a list. Be sure to log in using https or you could be exposing your login information to the people operating the proxy.

If the server doesn't have blocking software you can get onto your account. It was no problem for me checking my email in school, but I always never use it due to school rules.

Our school allows teachers and administrators to access e-mail, but the students are not supposed to on school time. If you have a CDR you can put it on a CD and have an administrator print it for you.

Yes, there's nothing wrong with email, because sometimes students email themselves articles from the library!
