Because they have a reputation and unfortunately you fall into that category.
The gang is made up of Latino's and you being one, makes people think that you are one of them.
You may not be, but if you are acting or dressing like them, then you will give that impression.
I'm sure your a good kid, just don't get caught up in that mess or any gang for that matter.
Be who you are, and stay good but get better!

LOL! First I thought you meant English as a Second Language. I didn't realize the gangs were so motivated to use proper grammar and pronunciation. ;-)
Those people are probably just ignorant. Its much easier to think people are the same rather than judge people as individuals.

LOL when I was in school ESL stood for "English as a second Language." glad you straighten that out for me. As for why people think that....it's because people are judgmental and often stereotype.

Because some people judge you because of the way you are and they don't even know you and that is wrong but i cant say anything to them.
