I'd say B. The reticular formation is involved in sleep, and other various activities, as well as filtering out stimuli to manageable levels. Damage could result in loss of this regulation, and a coma.

Damage to A would probably result in loss in sensation in various parts of the body.
Damage to C would result in memory loss.
Damage to D would result in loss of movement and coordination.
Damage to E would result in unstable (if any) vital signs.
