High volume enemas are probably the healthiest thing you can do for yourself. Many incurable, untreatable conditions go away with a few.
The first thing they advise you to look for when you start a colonic series is to watch for pop corn. Even if you have not eaten pop corn in a year pop corn kernels will come out. What else do you think has been in there rotting for over a year and do you think it is affecting your health? Immune system messing up? Who can blame it.
Heard of chelation treatment for metal poisoning? Enema's leach all the metal out of your body. You can save thousands of dollars.
Stomach flu going around? Instead of spending 3 days off work spewing from both ends you can clear it up in a hour.
Got the runs? Clear it up. Diarrhea is a symptom that some thing needs to come out.
I did a month long series once. The thick callouses on my feet that would crack and bleed fell off to never return. My terrible dandruff went away. Numbness in my right foot went away.
Just go to the library and look at the before and after pictures in the book "Tissue Cleansing through bowel management" by Bernard Jensen. Major non healing wounds just go away. Though the guys massive program is BS. All it takes is just water and half the amount he says. Cheap. Cheap. Cheap.

Eat a healthy diet and there will be no need for anything to be done to your colon, eat an unhealthy diet and the irrigation might, but probably won't, relieve some of the symptoms, but the cause will still be there.
The answer is definitely not.

The colon is actually self-cleaning and if you flush water into it you can flush out the good bacteria which thrive in the bowel and aid digestion.
Eating plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables and drinking lots of water is all that's needed to keep the bowels (colon) healthy and moving freely.

Considering that colonic irrigation is a dangerous form of quackery I'd have to say that no reasonable person would have it done.
But of course in the Yahoo! Answers Quackery category you'll find a lot of people who would have the procedure done to them.

I've heard irrigation can be damaging. However, various enemas can clean out the colon without the water pressure. You may want to speak to some naturapaths or Ayurvedic docs to get some pointers.
