Come on, 9% of the players on that list were yankee players.
Also let's not forget that Mitchell is also the "honorary" president of the red sox?

I am not saying that the Yankees didn't do steriods (they probably did), but remember there are 30 teams in baseball. I find it hard to believe that only the Yankees, Giants, Mets and several other teams have had players who have done steriods.

Dude, have you seen the list of Giants players?
F.P. Santangelo
Barry Bonds
Benito Santiago
Marvin Bernard
Armando Rios
Bobby Eselella
Matt Williams
Matt Herges
Do I need to keep on?
Glenallen Hill
Mark Carreon
Jason Christianson
Mike Stanton
The Giants can actually field a team with the listed players.
The Giants and Yankees were hardest hit because three of the four major sources were located near them: BALCO, Yankees trainer and the Mets clubhouse attendant.
EDIT: Keep in mind that Mitchell did say within the first minute of his speech that EVERY team has had at least one player that used steroids. If players had cooperated than this report could possibly have 300 names (easily).
Keep in mind 9% of players is 6.84 players so I would assume you rounded and there are 7 players mentioned). The Giants had 12 players (almost double the Yankees players) which would be 16%.

I take it what you're getting at is that this whole Mitchell thing is against the yankees to help the red sox? Face it, the red sox didn't need help from mitchell to get an advantage over the yankees. They did that on the field and that's where it matters. You yankee fans are just upset because your two best pitchers are roiders. The best part, all those roid's still didn't get you guys out of the first round of the playoffs. I know you yankee fans comeback to that will probably be something stupid like, "It's because they got a bad batch of steroids that didn't work." Idiots!

The who Yankee mentality of winning at all cost likely led to this. Part of the problem is that they signed everyone who looked good for a season which often times was because of steroids. But mostly, players felt pressure to perform better than their bodies would have naturally allowed them to. Also, just because 9% were Yankees does not mean that 9% were ONLY Yankees. for example: David Justice played for the Braves too. Clemens played for the Astros (I don't think he was on anything before he came to the Yankees). Giambi also played for the A's. The fact that a Yankees clubhouse person talked to Mitchell also played a part in this.

No, it just so happens that a former Yankee strength coach was one of the people who talked to investigators. Mitchell himself said that he knows that they did not name every player who ever took drugs, far from it. Anyway, think about it, aren't high profile players going to be the most targeted? Where is there a higher concentration of high profile players in MLB than in the Bronx? Listen if I have to look up and see the Yankees on my TV like five nights a week, if Derek Jeter sneezes we hear about it, then expect to get the most attention in every situation. The attention comes good or bad to the Yankees, it helps when you have MVP candidates or want a free agent, it sucks when it comes to stuff like this, deal with it, no tears from me.

Probably because most of the information came from people that had one time worked for them as trainers or conditioning coaches. I'm sure that had the trainers from Boston, St Louis or some other team had it would have changed the list. Think about the impact if they ever release names from the cases in New York, or Florida of those fake clinics. I'm sure you would see more names from other teams and sports.

Did anybody see who George Mitchell is a baseball director for? The Boston Red Sox. This is so dumb. He is obviously going to have a biased opionion. There was I think 2 Red Sox named in this whole thing. 1 was a barely used middle infielder and the other was a pitcher who was "recovering" from shoulder surgery.

No I don't. It is just unfortunate for the Yankees that they hired a steroid dealer that became a narc. Same is true for the Mets and the Dodgers. They had people that were selling the steroids to players and they were willing to turn on their players. I read the report and I felt that Mitchell did a great job and a thorough job with his investigation and deserves credit for a job well done.

No, you're the only one, or should be. They're not targeting, it just so happens the Yanks have a lot of cheaters on the roster.
As for the assertion the Yankees are being picked on, there are 11 ex-Pirates on the list. So, by your standards, baseball is trying to put down the Bucs, probably because they are so dominant. (And yes, that's sarcasm)

I guess that he is lying about not being impartial and not targeting any of the Red Sox. What about Manny Ramirez or that "Big" dude..... I'm sure there are other "broken down" players on that team that were tempted to use steroids to lessen the recovery time on injuries.....
If it was sanctioned by MLB, I'll believe that report, but coming from an independent source is kind of fishy, just like the Barry Bonds trial.

it somewhat is "handy" how they only occurred to point the Yankees maximum prominently, possibly for the ask your self value or maybe to wreck the final decade of yank fulfillment in human beings's minds. i won't be able to bounce to conclusions, I do have faith in harmless until shown to blame. It grew to become into weird and wonderful nevertheless when I examine the tale on the Fox activities information superhighway-web site they have been merchandising some crimson Sox merchandise, i understand by using fact they are "chumps" oops I advise Champs, yet no favourite crimson Sox participant grew to become into named interior the object.
