I need to buy 8 Christmas presents for my friends. It can't be more than $40 for all of them. What do I get them??

At like $4 each (since I assume your 40 has to include tax), you have a really tight budget. I'd go to the candy department and get several bags of candy. Then wrap them all in pretty bags. Perhaps make something like brownies or cookies for them.
Keeping it at $4 each is difficult but not impossible--I definitely think food is the way to go.

You need to buy each item for $5.. you can get a lot of things at Walmart or Target:
Lipgloss
Bath & Body Works Soaps or Mini Lotions
an Ornament
Nail Polish
Earrings
a scarf.. or a pair of gloves
a Keychain
a picture frame

lots of stuff you can buy, go to big lots, look in clearance there are alot of cute stuff you can buy for $4.99
