Ofcourse it is safe, to show your "eyes only", online. I would not publish my picture of myself on line as I have seen horrible things happen to people who posted their picture on line for good valid reasons. There pictures find there way into Porno sites, and other scam sites. (Or other people use their pictures pretending to be them).
Just make sure that you don't give out any personal data about yourself and your family.

no if you show your face people will hunt you down and kill you bcuz they dont like you just from the way you look.
