Get RAM that is compatible with your machine. DO you know which RAM type is installed? Right now CompUSA is selling off everything as they contract (become smaller in size) by closing stores. Talk to the in store rep and have them tell you which RAM to use and in what configurations. And buy as much RAM as you can afford.

you need to discover what speed and size of ram your mobo will support. I use the maker's website for that [if i've lost the original paperwork] as they usually have it organized by model number (guess you forgot to tell us, eh?)

All brands are good--just make sure its the right speed--ddr or ddr2,and your motherboard can handle it--try Belarc Advisor--best prices are at ---Pricewatch.com--dual channel or single.
