I personally prefer college football over the NFL. I love that there are so many games happening at one time and the atmosphere at college games is amazing. There is really no way that a NFL could get all their fans do things like the White Out at Penn State.
And because of the fact that most of the people who play in college football won't be in the NFL makes it better. Most of these guys are playing the game they love not to get money, but to actually have a good time. Think about the service academies (Army, Navy, Air Force). Not many of the players on their teams are going to be playing in the NFL (as far as I know, only Kyle Eckel from Navy a few years ago is the only service academy player in the NFL). Those guys are facing much tougher challenges in their future after football. They are playing for fun and to represent their school as well as they can.
In college, you also see things you don't on an NFL field. In college football, teams will run the option. You end up with quarterbacks who lead their team in rushing or, like Tim Tebow, score 20 touchdowns on the ground while throwing for 30 more. You don't see this in the NFL.
The NFL has better quality players, but they charge too much for games and watching them on TV they lack the pure excitement that comes with the college game. That's why I say college football over the NFL.

I LOVE college football.....I am a georgia die-hard, but living on the west coast now, i dont get to watch them but maybe 2 or 3 times a year....but I will even watch San Diego St play San Jose St if thats what is on...I love the heart that goes into each play, each down....i love the mystery each week of who is going to be upset and who will prevail....Of course there are downsides....BCS, Foot Locker Scandlas, Rhett Bomar.....but its things like the App State/Michigan game that keeps NCAA so interesting....As I watch any NFL game, in which I religiously do every weekend, I dont think about the players career there at whatever team they are on....I think about Champ Bailey when he was at UGA and the incredible hit he put on Travis Henry in 97 against tennessee that sent Henry flying back 3 yards. I think about Eli passing 409 yards in a game against the BJ Symons and Wes Welker led Texas Tech in 2003 where there were almost 1300 total offensive yards. So, yes, college football is where its at!

College football. There is more passion and excitement then there is in the NFL. Also the college atmosphere is much better than that of the NFL.

College football by far is so much more exciting with all the emotions from winning the game to bragging rights for the following year.

I see that you are giving thumbs down to those that say NFL when most college fans have done nothing but biatch about how unfair it was that certain teams got to play in certain bowls and how no one agreed on who the #1 team was.
Well that's never a problem in the NFL. Cheers!

I prefer the NFL. In the NFL it is easier to state an arguement as to who is the best......
You can always go with the teams who are in first place....you have a clear cut playoff system too
