I'm working all throughout Christmas, have no choice in the matter, but I'd prefer to be at home with my family for Christmas, have no leave left too take.

My husband is a salaried employee, not a 'wage' employee any more ... so he's taking the 24th off as a PTO (personal time off) day so we can have the whole 'four day weekend' over Christmas. He'll do the same thing the next weekend ... and as much as I love him, I think I'll really welcome the 'new year' because he'll be back at work instead of thinking of 'fun' ... until our vacation over Feb. 14 (our anniversary, and we take our annual vacation then, too).

I just came back from 11 days of vacation. I will be working all of next week and that week. That means overtime pay for Monday, Tuesday next week and Monday, holiday pay for Xmas plus a free dinner. Then, more holiday pay for New Years. At $600 a day for overtime and holidays and average $250 a week for AWS pay, as Dave Chapelle says, "I'm rich, biotch!!!"
