Sometime soon, I'm guessing that he will return on Monday Night Raw, because one of the reasons that he left ECW/WWE in June was because he hated the new ECW.
Since RVD & Sabu are such good Friends I would not be Surprised if Sabu was to return to the WWE some time in early 2008.
But when Sabu returns to the WWE, it would be great if he & RVD return to ECW, and re-start the ECW Originals with Tommy Dreamer, Rob Van Dam, Sabu, Balls Mahoney, Stevie Richards, and Mike Knox. And then the ECW New Breed could also re-start with Elijah Burke, Kevin Thorn, Shelton Benjamin, John Morrison, The Miz, Matt Striker, and The Boogeyman.

With RVD, you can't really tell.
No one expected him to be on Raw this past week. Hell, the only people that knew were WWE front office, Bischoff, and Hogan (Bischoff and Hogan were on the same plane with RVD).

Rob Van Dam is not coming back. That show on Raw was a one night only deal. His profile is now on the WWE Alumni page, no one on there works for WWE anymore.

If he did ever come back he prolly wouldnt be back for a few years. Right now he is doing alot of independant promotions like with booker t's independent circuit.

It was a one time deal for RAWS 15Th anniversary.

I think he was just there for the 15th anniversary show. It was his choice to leave WWE in the first place.
