Have any of you ever bought from Avon and did your sterling silver rings rust? I think my ring is fake, but I'm not too sure. I have had plenty of sterling silver rings (not from Avon) and never have they rusted and worn away like a cheap piece of metal. So do you think my ring is fake? Thank you to all that reply.

Sterling silver will not rust or turn your finger green. Those are the two biggest signs of a fake ring.

After seeing how 2 Avon silver rings became dull and tarnished so fast, turning grey like old metal, I won't get any more silver jewelry from Avon.

Fake no Cheapo yes. These are generally sliver plated not fully sterling silver. Avons higher end jewelry has less of this issue thankfully.

Avon sells "plated products" if you read the description. The plating is usually thinly added to a lesser quality base metal. Should also be in the description. If it is "solid" sterling, you should not discolor. sorry I didn't answer your question of "fake", inferior it is compared to karated jewelry.

Most likely it's fake if it rusts or leaves a ring around your finger from wearing the ring itself.
