Desktop pc's are easy. Power off the machine and remove the power cord. Then take off the cover on the side that isnt where your mother board is. If you find this side you will know because you can't access the motherboard from here. Then find the ram sticks that look like the one you want to install. Ground yourself, touch some metal and make sure you are not doing anything that would create a static shock or else you could do serious or fatal damage to your system. Slide the memory stick into the slot usually on a 30 degree angle works. Then stap the buttons on the top and bottom. Screw on the case and power up the machine. Turn off the power.

Locate the empty slot next to the installed one open the locks at each end of the slot and make sure you have the stick lined up with the spreaders (it only will go in one way) and gently press it into the slot until the locks close onto the ram stick.
