I would have her retest since it's been a week since the last test. Women can miss their periods, it very normal. Stress can definitely cause a missed period. I missed mine for a whole year! I had to go the gyn to get a shot in the rear end to start it back up again. I was about 21 when this happened. There are pregnancy tests at the dollar tree, and they do work. That's how I found out I was pregnant last month. Tell her to try not to stress to much! It's not good for her body. :)

if she took the test a week and a half after she missed her period and it was negative shes probably not pregnant. the stress of her uni work and the added stress of worrying if shes pregnant is probably whats stopping her period. ask her to take another test, if its still negatives then shes almost definately not pregnant. if she still doesnt come on she should go see her doctor to see what is stopping her period from coming. there are reasons other than pregnancy why a woman can miss a period and stress is one of them. try not to worry good luck to both of you.

Have you taken another test?
Stress does do strange things to your periods, but I know for a fact, having had four children, that you can have a test be negative and really be pregnant. Those tests are good but not prefect....you could have tested at a time so early that your body does not know its pregnant..... please retest and go to the doctor.
And for Remember Me...why be so harsh with your answers???

I have missed my period for a month. When your young it happens. Tell her to go to the doctor , they did a few test on me to make sure everything was ok. Use this as a warning, get on the pill. I didnt and now i am due in may. Good luck!

Two options here: Either opt to see a doctor for a blood test (sure fire way to tell) OR have her retry with the ClearBlue line, the one that actually says "pregnant" or "not pregnant" in the little window (who wants to mess with those stupid lines?!)
Have her retest in about three days FIRST THING in the morning - that's when her hormone levels will be at their highest.

She can skip a period and be pretty normal. However the first pregnancy test might be wrong. Actually they can be wrong a lot. They usually aren't wrong if it says it is positive but can be wrong a lot if it says negative. Good luck!!

if she's really stressed out it's possible she skipped it. she could take another test. it's possible that it she took it too early. or she could go to her doctor and get a blood test to see if she's pregnant.

its extremly common to miss a period w/ a lot of stress going on. if it doesnt come on sunday, have her take another test, and if it doesnt come for another week have her see her doctor.
