I just upgraded to windows vista home premium and it says "no audio output device is installed". My sound is part of the mother board. What could have happened?

Go to the mobo's web site and get the Vi$ta drivers. Then it will work. You also should update all of your components drivers to Vi$ta.

Hi. Vista may not be compatible with the sound driver. Try to get a new driver from the motherboard site, or add a soundcard.

right click my computer, click manage, on device manager look under sound, video and game controllers.
in there there should be some device listed possibly with an error icon next to it. right click it and reinstall/update the driver.

that or try doing a windows update. that sometimes fixes these things
