Near Major Ubran areas. Miami,Jacksonville,Tampa,Ft.Myers
Lots of recreational activites.
Waves are not to big
South Beach one of the top 10 best beaches in the world.
Secluded Beaches.
Florida Keys.
Resorts near by.

The sand is less coarse than beaches in California. Plus Florida is much closer to the North Atlantic cities like New York which makes it easier for urbanites to escape to the tropical paradise. Cali would be way too far for just a weekend trip.

The Gulf of Mexico, tops, live on Indian Rks Bch, Lovers Key, Coquina Bch, Lido Bch, Naples Bch, Vanderbuilt Bch, Treausre Island, Maderia Bch, Clearwater Bch, Sand Key. All are on the Gulf, beautful, clean, warm, soft sand, water aqua, skies clear, does not get any better!

cuz besides the beaches there is disney, seaworld,etc so many more things to do there. some ppl prefer the atlantic to the pacific ocean...warmer waters.etc....
