it has been said that the evolution of mankind is speeding up and there are many areas that man lives which is contaminated with radiation/fallout in particular around chernobyl. will these people that must live and eat produce from these areas build up a resistance to radiation?

Hi there.
Evolution can only occur where the subtle differences between individuals can confer advantage. We have conquered nature to the point that every human survives, so evolution is negated.
As for radiation, we are very nearly as immune to it as we can be already, being descended from orgnisms that were able to maintain the integrity of their DNA better than others.
The guy who pointed out that radiation is mostly physical damage is quite correct, but it is small scale asa rule and we are able to compensate except in a minority of cases.
Studies made over 40 years following Hiroshima and Nagasaki found no deterioration in DNA integrity - human systems cold cope even with that!

So living in a hot spot will shorten your life expectancy and give a higher probability of damaged offspring, but that is all.
Cheers, Steve.

That's a very good question. Our data on human radiation exposure is very limited however the wildlife surrounding Chernobyl does appear to be becoming resistant to the radiation and it appears that people who come from high radon areas, ie Cornwall do not suffer from increased cancer levels.

This being the case i think you do become immune but only at limited levels, if the dosage is too high nothing is going to stop you falling apart.

Nope. It's possible that we'll become more resistant to a low dosage of hard radiation, but a huge dose would still fry us. For example, think about standing on the surface of the sun and surviving there.

I believe that the most resistant animal is the cockroach, as it has a very low mutation rate.

..Wait a minute I've described a lot of people as roaches lately, maybe you're right.

In theory it may be possible. There are a number of enzymes which repair radiation-induced damage, and if they were to become more effective or more highly expressed then radiation damage could more easily be repaired. However, there is a problem when radiation causes double-stranded breaks in the DNA--but I suppose with the right DNA ligase even that might be repairable.

this is sort of like an immunity to bullets. The damage radiation does to living tissue is physical. It is possible that some evolutionary changes will happen. The theory is that races with dark skin are better adapted to live where the suns energy is more intense (near the equator).

If evolution were true then perhaps exposing yourself to radiation would be a good idea :)

Of course we know that radiation damages cells and reduces genetic dna information. It causes devolution!

Not sure who says the evolution of man is speeding up. It never even started. Evolution requires an increase of genetic information - this has never been observed. Mutations are the alleged mechanism, yet mutations do not add information.

Muscle control is the problem with premature ejaculation issue. You need to be sure that you are getting enough electrolytes into your body. If you are drinking a lot of coffee, tea, sodas, etc., you are dehydrating your body and depleting the electrolytes. Go here http://EndPrematureEjaculation.enle.info/?n998

Typically this problem is due to cholesterol issues. 85% of the cholesterol in your body is made by the liver. Only 15% comes from what you eat. The sex hormones are made from cholesterol because they are steroid hormones. The thyroid hormones are also made from cholesterol.

Low cholesterol diets can greatly affect the sex hormones. Additionally we have only changed 1% in our genetics in the last 12,000 years. The flight or fight mode the body is put in was a rarity in early man, so the adrenal glands were not called on often. Today, in the last 100 years, man has been overwhelmed with sugar and refined white flour. When man is put under stress to run or feeling fear, it is natural to burn lots of glucose and the body does this as a survival response. It also goes into this survival mode if sugar is eaten, the pancreas secrets insulin to oxidize the sugar and then the liver reprioritizes itself to go into survival mode and instead of working on the sex glands, it causes the adrenals to produce cortisol. Pregnenalone is a precursor to producing cortisol or sex hormones and thyroid hormones. In this stress situation, there is a pregnenalone steal that happens and everything is directed to produce adrenal hormones. It takes 24 to 29 hours to recharge the adrenals.

Is it no wonder that Americans are flooding to the Viagra? Additionally, the statin drugs given to lower cholesterol cause sex hormone problems. Cholesterol is in the body to strengthen arterial walls. In many cases certain kinds of strokes are caused by "thin arterial walls" due to these statin drugs.

The real issue is the bad diets so called "food experts" are recommending. Just look at the statistics. In 1905, the CDC reported less than 5% of ALL Americans were chronically ill. In 2005, the CDC reported that over 53% of ALL Americans are chronically ill. The first incidence of reported cardio myfarction was in 1921! Today, 3 out of 4 Americans are dying of heart disease. What changed? The food industry has created monsters they call food that is garbage and contains 50% less nutrients than just 25 years ago. Is it no wonder our health care costs are out of control. There are cultures in the world where they do NOT have doctors in the village because they don't need them. No heart disease, no cancer, NO Cavities! And they don't use fluoride toothpaste either!

Many products are now genetically engineered being sold in America with no labeling. This is a clever way of putting this garbage into our food supply with NO TRACABILITY! No way to prove it is causing allergies and disease. Thank you FDA.

Circulation problems can cause a libido decline as well. There are natural herbs that you can take that will increase your circulation in your extremities without any side effects. Go to: www.healthline.cc (not .com) and order the following:

Circuzyme --- Take 4 to 6 of these per day and you will be amazed at how much better your circulation is and your libido will increase. Stay completely away from TOFU. Tofu was designed to decrease the libido. It works. Monks are proof of this.

I would also check your iodine level. Buy a bottle of "tincture of iodine" and smear a patch 2" x 3" on your forearm. You should be able to see it after 24 hours. If it goes away in a few hours, you are very deficient and your thyroid gland won't be able to produce the hormones it needs and this will greatly affect your libido.

If you find you are deficient, order: Xeno Detox from the same company listed above. Take 4 in the a.m. and 4 in the p.m. This will take a few months to bring your iodine level up to where it should be. Avoid ALL fluoride products because this depletes your body of iodine.

Radiation destroys down to a quantum level so the atom would have to evolve to become immune. This i`m afraid is not possible. At least not according to our level of knowledge as it is today.
