In Shakespearean theatre all of the actors were mean - even characters like Juliet (different than modern theater)

Shakespearean thetre was divided into 3 acts and had a lot of monologues (don't know if that is true of modern theater or not)

They are both on a stage and use props
They are both performed to an audience
Both have actors
Both are usually performances of a written work
Both have characters and a plot or storyline
Both required people to pay a fee to watch

I have more trouble thinking of differences. The main one is that they use a different form of English because of the length of time that has passed.
