Not with a two hundred year old understanding of the government. Make no mistake. I salute their accomplishments and their vision. They are a credit to this nation and the building blocks that helped make this country strong. But thats where it stops. They set the wheels in motion and it has now outgrown even their most outrageous dreams of what it could be. Sometimes, like Bill Gates and Microsoft, the product becomes too big for even the creator of the product to fully grasp. Thats when its time to hand off to the younger guy who can understand, manage, and continue the growth. Today. Jefferson, Franklin, Hamilton. whomever would be lost and unable to address the issues most important to everyday Americans.

Given today's paternal DNA technology, the fact that Jefferson had a black mistress and half-black slave offspring would be a major scandal all over the Internet and he'd definitely lose the Republican base. Martha Washington smoked pot so George would have a hard time 'splaining that one.
Benjamin Franklin, maybe. If Mark Twain was VP definitely!
Edit: Franklin had a thing for little girls? Jeez. I didn't know that. Then hell no!

Hell yeah. Only thing is though, he would never make it as a candidate today due to his professed religious beliefs... or rather lack thereof.
ironic.. that the religious test they did not want to be a part fo the process is a huge part of the process today.
The whole slavery issue of course wouldn't work either. But one would have to imagine, that if he lived today, he wouldn't be a slave owner, seeing as how that is no longer legal practice.

Jefferson couldn't get elected as a slave owner, and Franklin couldn't get elected because of his womanizing.

not if they still held the beliefs of their time. Pro Slavery and the likes. But I would have to assume they were smart enough that if alive in todays world their belief system would have dropped such things.. in that light.. yes, I would vote for them.

sure , why not
just because one was a slave owner who had a taste for the brown sugar , and the other one had a taste for girls that would be considered underage and illegal(by the standards of today.) while in his 70's
it was the style of the times.
and they where both pretty good for the country
