I just started taking the pill (Aviane). Seems like it's increasing my appetite--I literally want to eat everything in sight!
Since I don't want to gain weight I want to go off it. I called my doctor's office and they said it's okay to stop taking it at any time.
I'm on the 5th day of a new pack. Will I get my period if I stop taking it? How long til my appetite goes back to normal?

You can stop taking it anytime, just like the office told you. If you stop now, you might bleed a little, but your uterine lining hasn't had enough time to grow enough to cause a full period. Or you might not bleed at all, it's hard to say. Your appetite will likely go back to normal in a few days.
Contraceptive-wise, you could ovulate this month since you're stopping early, so be sure to use backup.

It take a time to adjust your body system. It's will take a while to return normal.
