Im not retarded! im actually quite smart..but i am a horrible test taker!

If you don't require it, you probably don't want to go there. If you go to the school in the same major as your undergraduate, sometimes you can not take the GRE but it is universally required among decent schools.

It's no big deal -- just take the test and apply...if you don't test well, take a course or read up on the books in the bookstore.

GRE stands for graduate record examination. As previously indicated, only questionable programs allow you to slide by without taking the GRE. Some professional degrees however, require an alternative exam such as Pharmacy, Law School, Medical School, etc.
