A granum is a stack of thylakoids in the chloroplast.
The stroma is the gel-like material that surrounds the grana inside the chloroplast.
The light-dependent reactions happen in the thylakoids (in the grana) and the Calvin cycle happens in the stroma.

Na, it ain't that weird, I mean it is a little, when ya think about the concept, but sometimes people strike up a pretty good friendship. As long as there no freako's or weirdies, it's all good.
