These days, more men are taking care of themselves than ever before. And a mani/pedi is not exclusively reserved for one gender. I'm a nail tech, and though I have way more female clients, I do get a fair number of males in for mani/pedis (minus the polish, of course), and I do not see anything wrong with it. Why should men have to be excluded from something like that? Just my opinion. To each their own. But remember, there are a lot worse thing that a someone could be doing. A mani/pedi doesn't harm anyone! Its time to get away from the strict gender role stuff, where men do this, and women do that - and there is no exceptions. That is so limiting to everyone. Luckily, lots of peple have already changed their ways of thinking about things like this. But the rest of the world need to follow suit. I saw a comment or two that referred to it as being 'gay.' But, I bet those same girls wouldn't think twice about wearing their boyfriends clothes, like maybe his shirt or whatever. And if someone called you a name because of it, you would probably freak!
So, why is that OK for you to do, but not for him? Think about it. Thats messed up, IMO. I left that way of thinking behind a long time ago, and I am glad that I did. Life is too short to have to worry about what others think about this, or that. That is their problem, and no one elses. So, for the guys who want to get mani/pedis, I say go for it, and don't even think twice about what someone 'might' think about it. Who really cares what they think anyway? They're not worth even a second thought. Our lives belong to each of us. Everyone, male or female, should be free to do as they choose with their lives - without being subject to the negative opinions of others. As long as people are not harming anyone, or breaking the law, then go for whatever it is that you want to do.
But thats just me. Think what you want to think. Thats your right to do so.

He's either batting for the other team or so frickin' full of himself that all girls should run in the opposite direction.

If they're into that stuff, more power to them I guess.
I'm personally more attracted to a guy who doesn't mind getting his hands dirty. Something about calloused hands and chipped nails just screams rugged masculinity to me.
