No one is worshipping at it. A temple is something that houses a divine spirit. Your physical body houses the divine nature of God which is in you and everyone else. We are meant to treat our bodies with dignity and respect in gratitude for the use of it while we are on the earth. It is a vehicle to carry out the process of physical creation . It is a temporary gift that allows you to physically manifest what your spirit wants to create through your thought processes. If you didn't have a body, you could only have thoughts but not make them a physical reality. If you treat yourself with respect, then others will "worship" or respect it, too, and you can set an example of how to use your "temple" as it was intended.
