I was a just-turned 18 senior. she was an almost 16 sophomore. we were dating. We "parked." I made out w/ her, felt her boobs, kissed them, and we did mutual masturbation. I'm trying to keep this clean ok?! Like I said, handjob and I used my hands to please her. Since she was 15 (16 in about 2 weeks) and I was 18, (just turned 18 a few days ago) should I have gone to jail for that? Now, I don't think it'll do much good. I still see her every once in a while. I also gave her an early christmas present. lemme give you a clue. it's comes in a tiny box, and she cried when I gave it to her. give up? I went and asked her to be my wife! this whole thing happened about 5 years ago. I'm 23 and she's 21. But should I have gone to jail for that nite? also, if she decided to tell on me, could I still get in trouble? I'm not worried about it, just more curious than anything.

I don't think you did anything that would have warranted your going to jail. She was under age at the time and you were technically an adult. However - according to your story, you were just making out and didn't force yourself on her. It was consensual and didn't go "all the way." Fortunately, things worked out well for you. Just think of the mess you would have made if your didn't get married and also got her pregnant. Good luck.

Yes, there is a giant difference between 15 and 18 and 21 and 23! At 15 there are still brain synapses that are still being made, including sexual ones that effect how people are developed, that is one of the reasons why there is a law against it!

Mutual masturbation might be considered a form of sexual contact that would be covered under a statutory rape law. Laws regarding statutory rape and age of consent (some states are as low as 14 in the US) vary from state to state.

Of course morally, there is probably nothing wrong with what you did. Legally, it depends. There was a case in Texas several months back where a man was released from prison after several years after he received oral sex from a girl who was only about two years younger than him.

Legally, yes you could have gone to jail. Let me ask you a question. What if it were your 15 y/o daughter with an 18 y/o adult? Would you want him to go to jail? I certainly would want you to be punished. She's a child and although her body may be mature enough for that behavior, emotionally she's not ready. You should have been responsible enough and caring enough not to touch her in that way. You could have waited until she matured, especially if you intended to marry her. You abused her. Good luck. 2D
