Smart Guy: That is a very interesting way to look at it!
I have never looked at it that way but I suppose it is wise to do so. Thx

No. I really try to be content and thankful for what I do have. I try to live a minimalistic existence. I think in the US culture of consumerism, buying on credit, running up debt, buying useless junk is a real problem. I do not have a credit card. I use a debit card. Once you get in that cycle of consumption you are trapped. The only debt I would finance would be student loans, car loans, mortgage loans and even on them I would put money down on the car and house so it would not be 100% financing.
I think you need a roof over your head, transportation, clothing, and food to live. I have an issue with health care/dental care, I think it is necessary too but it should be provided by the government or the government should pretty much eliminate taxes.
I have studied most major religions, and my philosophy is closest to Buddhism. My most important thing to me in my life is my family, not some material possession.

N O, BUT, if I would happen to see something that
I would like to have, I start saving my money and I
usually wind up getting it after a while. It might take a couple of years, but I will eventually have it in my hands and it's usually paid off.

No, I don't. I rejected consumerism years ago and am content with the small things in life. It's more enriching finding foreign films to view, books to read, reading science news every day to see how we progress and just having strong, smooth coffee while walking my dog is a daily ritual to which I look forward.

Not so much anymore. When I was younger I learned to accept life as it is and enjoy my place in it.
