I've been reading the report and all I'm getting out of it is circumstantial innuendos. It's the classic "He said, she said" scenario. What a major waste of time and money. It's nothing but a witch hunt.

I think everyone suspected Clemens just the slightest bit. To to do what he did, and at that age...I think we were all just too stubborn to admit it.
But PETTITE?
PETTITE?!?
FOR GOODNESS SAKES!
Im sitting in class today, and all of the sudden, my math teacher comes into the room.
"Clemens and Pettite," he says. And then he just walks off with a little smile on his face.(The man's a diehard Mets fan.)
I freaked out.
I am honestly outraged beyond words...I'm so disappointed in both of them...
I feel betrayed. I never even suspected Pettite! I dont think a lot people did. Good, strong kid with a great arm.
I honestly, don't what else to say.

Anabolic steroids and human growth hormone. In 2003, Rodriguez tested positive for anabolic steroids, testosterone, and Primobolan. I have no idea what Primobolan is - I tried to read the Wikipedia article, but there were too many science terms for me. Pettitte's drug of choice (at least according to his account) was Human Growth Hormone, though I believe the Mitchell Report accused him of using anabolic steroids and amphetamines as well. Knoblauch was an HGH user as well. If he used steroids, then he didn't use enough, because he never had very much power. Giambi testified in the BALCO case that he used both HGH and steroids. Clemens was accused in the Mitchell Report of using a drug called Winstrol, and has also been linked to anabolic steroids. He also allegedly slept with a 15 year old girl - which is an even bigger crime if you ask me (or the legal system). Clemens is just that kind of classy guy.

Just goes to show how the public was fooled by these guys. If it is absolutely proven that players took steroids, they should be banned from baseball. One aspect that a lot of us forget about. Baseball is how these guys make a living. When a player gets less money or dropped down to the minors because another player is taking steroids and outperforming unfairly, its like stealing a man's livelihood. So, it really does hurt someone other than the guy using the steroids. We all loved to see all the homeruns, which is why baseball officials were so half-hearted about doing anything to curb this in the beginning. Now that millions of dollars have been squandered by this investigation, the least baseball can do is take these guys money and livelihood from them. My true outrage is the taxpayer money spent on going after these bums.

I'm with you. I wasn't too surprised about seeing Clemens name, but I wasn't expecting to see Pettite's. I just wonder if Clemens will turn into another "Barry Bonds".

I agree with you. I didn't imagine Pettite being on the list. I thought that there was a small chance of Clemens being on it, and I wasn't too shocked to see his name, but Pettite I was very surprised by!

According the Mitchell Report, Pettite took steroids to help him recover from an injury in 2002. He is quoted as stating he wanted to get back and help the team.

Pettitte being suspected of using HGH probably came about when he was having elbow issues and unfortunately for him it was probably prescribed. I would be less harsh in my opinions of players on the list like Pettitte who only had one instance where it was used in that manner. But players like Bonds, McGwire, Sosa, and others that used it continually, that's a different story.

Doesn't surprise me! Pettite seemed like the type, he hadn't played in a while and I think he needed a confidence boost.

I was totally surprised about Pettitte. Clemens I had a hunch but, not Pettitte. What a shame.
