No. However, you can buy an OEM operating system with the purchase of a new drive which is more advantageous in my opinion than buying a retail copy since they are usually cheaper.

No - if you go somewhere and just buy a hard drive, they are blank - nothing on them. It is up to you to put an OS on them and to format them, etc...

no- they need to be formatted in NTFS/FAT32 etc. there is no OS- you need to buy that separately.. less you buy a full PC.
