So, I know ozone is a secondary pollutant that absorbs UV radiation, and that it is just dandy in the stratosphere but really nasty at the surface when it is a part of smog, but does it do anything to temperature?

Ozone in the stratosphere absorbs ultra-violet radiation in the solar radiation .Thus a part of the amount of solar radiation is filtered reducing the total amount of solar radiation reaching the earth affecting the temperature also.
On the other hand, ozone, being one of the greenhouse gases contribute(about 3 %) to the greenhouse effect(near the surface) and is responsible,to some extent, for the rise of the average global temperature.

The short answer is no. The reason is that the 3 absorption bands for O3 are all in the UV (240 - 790 nm). At the surface we would be interested mainly in the absorption of IR by green house gases.

i know that it is called a greenhouse gas if that tells you anything.

if it does not affect temp then why is it a greenhouse gas. i would say it helps increase temperature of the earth along with the ohter green house gases
