After earning a bachelors degree, you get a four-year doctoral degree to become an M.D. (medical doctor) or D.O. (doctor of osteopathy), then complete a four-year residency in diagnostic radiology or radiation oncology.

A radiologist is a medical doctor first. Here is what college looks like for the radiologist
1. Bachelor Degree in Science (like pre-med) 4 yrs
2. Medical School 4 years
3. Residency Training Program (abut 3 years)
Radiologists are among the highest paid of all medical specialties.
