Oh and if it helps I have played a little bit before I just keep re-rolling but I mostly PvP and only reason to do end-game PvE for me is gear to PvP in.

If druid then what about druids in raiding and PvP?

Will I be forced to heal?
I want to DPS.

If you can't decide, go with druid. Why? Jack of all trades. You can serve as a melee damage dealer (bear form), a magic caster, a healer, or a DPS wizard (cat form). This will give you a taste of everything, and you can spec depending on what you want to do. Like healing? Spec resto. Want to deal damage via magic? Spec balance. Like playing as a cat or bear? Go feral and tailor your gear to what you want - a tanking bear or a DPSing cat.

And druids are very versatile in PvP as well.

If DPS is what you want to do, then i would recommend starting a hunter, and if alliance is your preferred faction then be a dwarf hunter, because of the dwarf racial passive skill of gun specialty, which means you will do more damage if you have a gun equipped. Hunters can always pump out dps even if they are out of mana, and depending on your spec you and your pet could be nasty killing machines. Oh and by the way, the traps will save your life in PVP.

Don't make a rogue, they are not great for raiding if you ever get to the end game.

DPS class: mage - good dps, portals, mage table, best cc
Tank class: druid - great tanks with crap gear, can fill any role
Healing class: paladin - great healers, easy to level up as ret

those are my picks based on ease of use, flexibility, and end game utility.

I have leveled up quite quickly with my Blood Elf Warlock. But when I couldn't decide, I chose a Paladin. You can heal yourself which I just love. The Warlock has powers to do that as well. And you can summon and imp, warhorse, and other demons to help you.

Warrior, because it is probably the most simple to start, but it can be rather tricky to master. Decent soloing in the beginning, and it's never hard to find a party later, just as long as you know how to pull aggro off of people.

Rogues or hunters. They are fun and easy to level up.
