assuming you can get to the damaged area, there are products sold that will seal the area.

If you're very careful to support the stack, and look carefully to make sure you've isolated the entire cracked section, you can cut out & replace a section of a stack. Riser clamps would provide good support.

But the 'look carefully' part is important. If it's cast-iron, the crack can extend further than you can tell just by looking. It may be better to replace the entire section of pipe (no-hub coupling to no-hub coupling, or hub to hub).

JB Weld will hold and seal it. Since soil stacks do not really have much pressure on them, silicone caulk will work.
