The first thing to try is to watch when it moves.
What stimulates it ?
Get rid of the stimulation.
If this fails then creep up to it quitely and kill it.
If you still get movement then wait 24 hours to make sure it is dead.
If yet still the problem occurs then repeat the exercise on the carpet.
Still problems then sling it all out and put in laminate flooring.
AND if that doesn't work move house.

if you go into any carpet shop you can buy a small sheet of stuff that you can cut into strips to or use the whole sheet to keep the mat in place, i cant remember the name of it but any good shop would know what you want.

If you have or can get a hot melt glue gun, turn the mat over and apply some beads of glue on the bottom. When the glue sets you can turn it back over and the glue-spots will grip the floor.

You can buy grippy things that stick on the bottom of the mat. Acts a bit like velcro I suppose. Try woolies they have odd things like that sometimes.

There is a rubberish material sold in rolls that will keep the mat from moving. You can find it either in the "rugs/mats" section or the "shelving" section of your local store.
