I am a college student, so of course I'm lower class. Me and my fiance- lower class with upward mobility, my family lower class.
However, I attend college. My mom bought a new car. My fiance and I can pay our bills and the only debt we have is my student loans (acceptable) and we only just started out 6 months ago.
I think that the definition of working, lower, middle and upper class is warped, and people don't give the working and lower classes as much credit as is due to them. Just because they are member of this class does not mean that they are lazy, uneducated, a minority, addicts or anything else. It does mean that they have to work a little harder for what they want to catch up financially with others.
This isn't a bad question in my opinion, but one that should be answered, even if with opinions. Better this question then one about "What color should I dye my hair" or "What is the best fast food resturant".

I'm in middle class because my class isn't in a low state at it also isn't at a high state. Just think of this as beging on a airplane. Lower class, middle class, and upper class then you could determine what kind of class you are in. They are about the same meaning, lower class is the lowest, middle class is ok, and upper class is like above and beond and can afford lots of things

I think it depends on what state you live in also that determines whether you are middle class or not.
As for me I'm not middle class or upper middle class, I'm a struggling college student but my parents are middle class.
In my state the average median income is only $32,000. My parents make well above that. They make $75,000 a year combined. So here in my state our family would be considered middle class.

many people are in different classes. some are poorer than others. alot of people are richer than others. and then there are some who is stuck in the middle. if i had a choice i would rather be in the middle class because if you are poor you don't have much. yes if you are rich you can get anything you want but they are always in danger by robbery theifs and other criminals ideas. i think i am in middle class.

im 13 and i dont know/dont want to know my father's income. but from the life we lead id say middle/upper middle at most. my parents are divorced so we have two large houses in south east uk. two good cars. my brother and i went to prep school and i hav just moved to boarding/day (im day b/c i can walk there) intelligence selecive school in my town. we have holidays once for two weeks and another week in france if we're lucky (long holiday = med) we sometimes have paris breaks during other holidays. i dont know if we actually are - if not we probably have a middle class mind set. as in we aren't chavs. im not sure - you decide xxx

I would say lower middle-class. I can afford cable, internet and other non-necessities right before my money runs out.
