YOU need to go to the nearest welfare office. Don't feel bad about it either. Ask them for help for everything that you need. They will find you a place to stay, provide clothing vouchers, give you food vouchers and help you with basic requirements. Then you will be in good shape. They will also help you locate "job training" and/or place you in an adequate job situation. This has worked for me and many of my family members.

What shall we then say to these things? If GOD be for us, WHO can be against us? - Romans 8:31. The Lord daily loadeth us with BENEFITS, even the GOD of our salvation. Selah. - Psalm 68:19. I wish you well. Peace, Love and God Bless.

You dont say how old you are but if you are age 17 or older you need to call the St. Patricks Center. The resource center there is the clearing house for all the homeless shelters. Only Reverand Rice will accept walk ins. All the other shelters require a referral. There is also a new way to get information on resources for food, clothing etc. This is through the United Way. All you have to do is dial 211 and tell them what you want help with. They will give you numbers and addresses of all the appropriate agencies in any area you specify. Good luck. Stay safe.

Contact the United Way immediately, just call 1-211 in MO.

Also contact the Department of Family Services.

If you need a place to live, I can guarantee you that Presbyterian Children's Services can find you a place to stay, at least for awhile.

Their website is:http://www.presbyterianchildren.org/

If you're in high school, ask the school counselor for help, too. That's why he/she is there.

Shouldn't your school have something for you? I know it's not easy, but if you are an enrolled student, shouldn't they be the first ones you turn to for help? If not, I suggest you try the Salvation Army.

Go to your school and try to get into student housing. I'm guessing you have loans out already to pay for your schooling, then you should be able to get loans to pay for the dorm and food.
