Society stresses conformity..People are not suppose to have their own thoughts or identity unless it somehow goes along with what our society deems as being acceptable or "normal." The concept of "political correctness" has further emphasized this by making individuals afraid to speak their minds or be who they are in fear that they may offend someone or some institution..People try to justify their sexual behaviors because they feel as though they need society's approval. They want to feel as though what they do is "normal" because they don't want people to label them as being some kind of freak..god forbid someone be "different."

Because We were raised by idiots who taught us sex was a very bad thing. We feal guilty for having those perfectly abnormal desires( I say this because Freud believed that anthing other than sex to make babies was abnormal). Anyway, The need to feel justified is more a natural desire to belong with a particular group in which the participant feels less lonely. And loneliness is our primary drive for relationships and everything we do.

Everyone wants to fit in. Basically everything but sex is observable. You just look around at how others are doing things, and get a pretty accurate view of "normal". You can't do that with sex. The only way to find out if your "normal" or not is to ask questions. Why do people feel the need to be "normal"? Who knows? It is what it is, ain't it?

Each person wants to be accepted and feels a need to be accepted into society.
My thoughts are: if someone does not like what you do, that is their opinion. If you do something that makes you happy and makes you feel good about yourself...do it!
Take a porn star for example...me, myself, would never do anything like that as I am happy and content with the monogomous relationship with my husband and what we do together satisfies me.
A porn star on the other hand WANTS to have sex with many people and WANTS it mulitple times a day. If that is what they want, then great for them, they are getting what they want and are happy with their lives.

It is because of the Id, Ego, and Superego. Basically the three parts of your brain that control your desires and your morals and the balance between the two.
It is a constant struggle of what you want to do vs. what your morals tell you is socially acceptable.

Perhaps they like to ask questions about their own morals with no reflection upon them. Sex is an easier subject than psychology, engineering, sociology and is a common denominator of humans.
