with all the players retired not being able to be punished. How will the current players be dealt with? Players like Clemens, Pettite, Tejada, Gagme, etc?

They won't be punished either. Mitchell suggested that they don't be punished and I think Selig will listen to him so he can get more information from him in the future.

I just read the first 100 pages of that report. I cannot believe those guys paid for those drugs with Checks and Money Orders.

That's just stupid. That's like paying for a hooker with a check or buying heroin with a credit card.

I don't think the average player will do much but pay a fine and hang his head and say sorry. Guys like Bonds though will have some serious explaining going on and will pay a heavy fine and probably not be inducted into the hall of fame.

Seeing as how Mrs. Jones had her medals stripped and made out to be a low life criminal they should remove those guys from the hall of fame and take back the Cy Young awards or any other awards given for the time it was known they were using performance enhancing drugs.

I doubt that any retribution may be extra down, provided that the checklist did no longer contain punishment in its mandate. in addition to, maximum individuals of those implicated are coated for their use of those aspects before they have been formally banned via significant league baseball. human beings tend to forget approximately that using those aspects did no longer advise a suspension or banishment until incredibly modern instances, and we gained't punish human beings retrospectively.

Mitchell asked the commish not to punish but I don't see that happening. They will probably pay a meager fine and may suspend some games.

No punishment at this time because having your name on a list does not mean you are guilty of anything.

They can't punish them really. No one can prove that they used the drugs. Possession wasn't against the rules. Just using.
