Martymar, no team has gone 16-0 yet but the Dolphins did go 14-0 & then 2 play-off games plus Super Bowl for a 17-0 perfect season. Before the Pats go 16-0, they have to 14-0 & 15-0 & anybody can be beaten on any given Sunday even the Pats. If Pats go 16-0 & 19-0, then I will give my congrats but they have to do it first.

Because going 16-0 means the 1972 Dolphins can't crack open their yearly champagne on ice anymore when the first team loses.

To some, that's more important than going 19-0. If you've followed the Pats the entire 21st century, 3 Super Bowls is enough for plenty.

Probably because the 72 Dolphins to this point are the only team to go undefeated for a season. They finished with a 17-0 record including the super bowl win. People want to see if another team can duplicate or better the mark.

Because there's only one team in the history of the NFL that has ever gone 16-0. It's an incredible feat to go through the regular season undefeated. Even if a team has the best players in the league, there's still a chance that they will get beat. Any team can win on any given day.

I care more about 14-0. Next week I'll worry about 15-0. The week after I'll be concerned about 16-0.

Then we'll be 0-0 again, and the real fun starts.

Because a lot of people don't realize that the important wins come after regular season is over.

Don't be such a sourpuss, let people have their fun...besides, that's probably the biggest news in football this year next to the Mike Vick thing...and questions still flood in about that too....

Because they finally got tired of asking what the green dots on the back of quarterback helmets meant.
