a)x^2-x-30
(x-6)(x+5)
b)a^2-2a-3
(a-3)(a+1)
c)s^2-4s-12
(s+2)(s-6)
d)x^2-x-12
(x-4)(x+3)
e)x^2-9x-10
(x-10)(x+1)
f)y^2-7y-18
(y-9)(y+2)
so that you can do these on your won, I'll offer you a quick guide on the easiest way I know of.
if the 3rd number is negative, then you're going to have X plus something and X minus something. So look at the factors of the 3rd number, and see which two can be subtracted from each other to give the second number.
For example in
x^2-4x-12
2 times 6 makes 12, and 2-6 makes -4, so you know the answer has to be (x-6)(x+2)
but for
x^2-x-12, then it has to be (x-4)(x+3), because 3 times 4 make 12, but the only way to get the -1x is to have 3-4.
Hope that helps

a) x^2 - x - 30 = (x - 6)(x + 5)
b) a^2 - 2a - 3 = (a - 3)(a + 1)
c) s^2 - 4s -12 = (s - 6)(s + 2)
d) x^2 - x -12 = (x - 4)(x + 3)
e) x^2 - 9x - 10 = (x - 10)(x + 1)
f) y^2 - 7y - 18 = (y - 9)(y + 2)
