Not only prevail, but will it then grow into a money grubbing monster like the MLB and get out of control itself( i.e. steroids, pre-madonnas, overly priced concessions etc.)?

Hopefully this will send a serious message to all involved. Its not just about the drugs its about examples and the emotional effect on the lives of the fans who pay good money to see the games. Many avenues and lives will take a big hit because but they went down a dangerous road and nobody forced them to do this. I only hope nobody hurts anyone after the account and report. People love baseball and it will survive because all of us need a diversion from this crazy world we live in and baseball does gives us that.

Dreamer. None of this matters. Baseball will spin this and will find a way to make a great bottom line. Only if people actually stop going to games or watching baseball or buying baseball stuff will any of this matter and you know that's not going to happen. They should just go ahead and pretend everyone is clean. The clean guys are accused of it every time they get a hit anyway, and the dirty guys generate revenue, so the question of good vs. bad is a laughable one anyway. The way I see it, if a dumb jock wants to take steroids only to have his legs amputated in his forties and to be dead by 53, let him. I don't care.

If we're lucky, NO level of baseball will remain. It will all just go away as people realize it is inconsequential tripe.

Nothing will happen until the paying fans do something about it.
