I guess that he is lying about not being impartial and not targeting any of the Red Sox. What about Manny Ramirez or that "Big" dude..... I'm sure there are other "broken down" players on that team that were tempted to use steroids to lessen the recovery time on injuries.....
If it was sanctioned by MLB, I'll believe that report, but coming from an independent source is kind of fishy, just like the Barry Bonds trial.

Varitek is not in the report. Unless I misspelled his name when I searched the PDF file. George Mitchell wouldn't sully his good name by showing any bias period. I say this as a resident of Maine where he was a U S Senator and as someone who belongs to the opposition party. Integrity is integrity, and he has it. Whether or not we like the info contained in the report.
There may have been more players with ties to New York named because the two biggest witnesses both came from NY organisations: Brian McNamee (NY Yankees) and Kirk Radomski (NY Nets). Unfortunately, the players association discouraged player participation in the process and they had zero subpoena power.
Mitchell himself stated there were many more players using. I was listening to ESPN back chatter and some reporters are saying if you can't give everyone's name you shouldn't give any (LOL). If no one was named they'd cry cover up and MLB would want it's $40 million back.
At least the report lists it's corroberative evidence (or lack of in Brian Roberts' case). The Rocket is definitely cooked.

No current Red Sox are on the list. Much to Yankees' fans displeasure. P.S. I always knew Clemens was on juice. People talk about the change in Barry Bonds' body, They clearly have been keeping a blind eye to the transformation of Roger Clemens' body.

Not current Red Sox, but there were 2 from the 2007 roster. Brandon Donelly (Free Agent) and Eric Gagne (Brewers)

He is simply an consultant for the RED SOX and has no stock or control with the Club. No current RED SOX players are on it. Which is not really shocking at all.

Go to espn.go.com if you want to see the entire Mitchell Report and see all of the names listed for yourself. They are in bold, and you'll have to have a current Adobe Acrobat Reader 7.0 in order to view it. There are 409 very long pages... look for the players names, towards the end...they are in bold. It's not a list, it's paragraphs in between the bold names. You will see copies of checks and notes about it from the players, too.

I believe the players names and explanations start on page 196 or 197 of the report. There are even copies of their personal checks!

I was expecting david ortiz and maybe manny. Especially the way David's numbers jumped. You can't say lugo, crisp, drew, varitek, lowell, or youkilis used steroids because they have not put unbelievable numbers that would catch your attention. Its possible but unlikely.
