Before you say, your family, your children, your future and ambitions..all of that will be gone in 100 years, no one will remember, it seems so pointless, as each day passes and time goes by, days wasted, days forgotten, what's the point??

We all have a limited number of days on this Earth. Enjoy each as if it were your last because one day, it will be.

That is the point of life.

Actually, all of it won't be gone in 100 years.
One day you will be someones ancestor. Imagine you come up with a new invention, you become a household name.. like for instance the people who made Spam.. this has been passed down generation to generation. There are also way more examples.
Anyway, if you succeed in your life and do great things and give it your all, you WILL be remembered throughout your family tree. Your grand kids will be telling their grand kids about you if you do something that is memorable.
In all honestly, life is life and you can take it as you see it. But, you only get one as far as I know and with that one you should just really live your life to the fullest.

The point is to enjoy the visit in this world as much as you can, just like if you are taking a vacation to a theme park, try to enjoy it.

The point also is to be aware of your existance, and as a non-religious person I can say is Thanks God that we have that chance. Now that you are thinking on that, I think on those people worring 24 hours 7 days a week about certain problems that doesn't even make sense, all those worries and in 100 years not a sould is going to remember, their family - barely, and it wont be any further than that, it's kind of funny too.

What the point in living your life the way you do. how can you get up in the morning and go to work why not go live in the streets instead of a house with computer or a job wiht one the point is life is a gift and you shouldn't take it for granted becasue little that you know you may not think it's worth it but someone in your life might think that you are a gift from god and couldn't live without you, that;s the point you are here to be loved.

I once read somewhere that the purpose of life was: "to discover WHO you really are, and act out that choice".

It sounds very simple, yet it is not.

After years of thinking/experimenting, I really think is the best definition of life there is... you arrive in the world, you've got a body to act out, a mind to ponder, even a soul (feelings, likes/dislikes), now WHAT WILL YOU DO WITH THEM?

That's the question of life.. and the time of your life is given to you to respond this question.

Some people decide they would like to be a clown and act on the street. Others go for math. Others go for marriage. Others discover they are lesbian. Others choose not to do anything. Others discover they like pink, so they paint the wall with this colour. Etc Etc.

Who knows!, you have your entire life to find out!. The idea is to do what you FEEL that defines who you are.

Hope it helps (Play the game!).

I understand why you feel this way. I feel the same way but try not to think of it too much. If I do, I end up having an panic attack and that sucks so...
Just try to realize each day is a gift, life is too short to waste 1 day thinking about wasting away.

To discuss the meaning of life would take a life time and there would still be no answer. So why does life need to be for a reason. It is, so live it. Yes in 45 years I will be dead and buried, but I am alive now and life gives me boundless opportunities to feel good and to do good things, so why focus on what I can't change (mortality) and focus on what I can.

Oh Christ...more teenage angst. Jesus..grow up already. I read your profile and you seem to lead a pretty full life. What? Depressed because you Mom is pissed off because you don't do anything around the house except sulk and get morbid over something stupid and meaningless. Quit trying to analyze life girlie. You haven't even scratched the surface yet so you haven't a clue as to what life is all about and what it can bring.

Teenagers.....next to a two year old they're the worst.

Well since we are stuck here for 100 yrs give or take, we might as well enjoy ourselves. What's the point of spending your 100 years being miserable? If that's how ya feel, might as well cut it short.
