i agree with Angie. Women are supposed to be "small, pretty, dainty, and ladylike". having huge muscles is not considered attractive for a woman. i personally say more power to her. i wish i had so much self-discipline. i wonder what "I love Women" thinks about muscular women? he is a male bodybuilder.
on a personal note, i don't find people with huge muscles physically attractive. just not my taste.but i do admire their perseverance. i don't think they do it to look "hot" anyway.
EDIT TO POSTER BELOW: i didn't say all women SHOULD be small and dainty. i was referring to social stigmas and what many people expect a woman to be. i would hate to be called dainty-i'm pretty curvy and i like it.

A woman with a healthy body fat % can still be toned or muscled, so I don't see how that can be an issue. I don't know why people look down on athletically built women, I think they can be quite hot, especially if they have natural feminine features like breasts and an @ss, like Serena Williams and Jessica Biel.
unaivalable, not all of us women can be small and dainty, I know I wasn't(when I was at my healthy size), even though I am short, I was never small and dainty. The best way to describe my body type is Irish peasant woman, broad shoulders, broad back, heavy thighs, there's no way I could ever be healthily small and dainty. I'm so glad that not everyone feels that women should look only one way.
Ahh, got it:D

I love muscles on women, especially when they've been on me. I think it's a lot better now that the WNBA is around, the Women's Soccer teams have gained attention, and the US Women's Ice Hockey team did so well at the Olympics, as well as the US Women's Softball and Basketball teams. It use to be very taboo to have half way decent biceps if you were a woman, but it was something I always wanted since I was crazy about rock climbing for a number of years. I think it goes back to silly gender stereotypes, where men = strong, women = weak, which is dumb. I'd rather be strong than slim any day.

Toned women are very beautiful and its becoming the new "in" thing. This is why gyms are starting to cater to women as well. Hopefully this stays the "in" thing because it's healthy instead of just skinny.
Women who have a lot of muscle like you see on body building shows are not attractive because after getting a low BMI women lose their breasts. This also makes them look less feminine.

I feel it's personal preference. I don't much care for the appearance of body builder women. Then again, I don't care for the appearance of body builder men either. Honestly, it kinda creeps me out. Well-defined muscles are fantastic, just not that bulky, vein-popping look.

I just can't believe that it's just culture. It's got to be more biology. BTW, most women prefer a natural-looking strength (like Russel Crowe) to a body builder's strength in men. More reps, more aerobics, more functional muscles.

I don't think that we believe that they are ugly on a woman. I think the only problem arises with female body builders and there are plenty of people who find male body builders just as unattractive.
For those few who think that women shouldn't be at all muscular, it probably goes back to the idea that women should be dainty, small and fragile.

Society doesnt say. A collective of individuals see, feel and make up from their perception that a woman muscle bound is ugly.
Not because of the collective but because of the individual.

Too little body fat causes temporary infertility in women. Genetically speaking, it would be inane for men to be attracted to women with self-imposed infertility. Every human society finds it unnattractive for women to mutilate their bodies to the point of losing the ability to procreate.
